Photo Competition: win prizes for the best photo

This year, Euregion Rhine-Waal is once again looking for creative photographers who would like to take part in the annual photo competition. This year’s theme is “The Euregio from above”.

For a successful entry, it is important that the photos relate to the theme. This year, we are asking all amateur photographers to capture what comes to mind when they hear the words “The Euroregion from above”. Do you perhaps think of special places, of beautiful views in the Euregion Rhine-Waal, of German-Dutch cross-border cooperation, or do you have a completely different idea and think outside the box? Let us know and send in your best photos. It is important that the photos are original and creative. The photos must also have been taken within the Euregion Rhine-Waal area.

This year, the Euregion Rhine-Waal Executive Board will select the best photos together with the residents of the Euregion Rhine-Waal. The winners will be notified by the beginning of December at the latest. The two best entries from Germany and the Netherlands will each be awarded a cash prize of 200 and 100 euros respectively. The decision is final.

Amateur photographers wishing to take part can submit their photos digitally to info@euregio.org or in a sealed envelope marked ‘Photo Competition’ to Euregion Rhine-Waal, Emmericher Str. 24, 47533 Kleve, by 4 September 2026.

The competition is open to all residents of the Euregion Rhein-Waal and each participant may submit a maximum of three photos. These must be submitted digitally or as prints (minimum size 13 x 18 cm) and must include the title, location where the photo was taken, the photographer’s name, telephone number and email address.

Euregion Rhine-Waal will receive the rights of use for all submitted photos, with the photographer’s name credited. The submitted copies of the photos will become the property of Euregion Rhine-Waal.
