The Euregios informed the committee about cross-border issues such as migrant workers, Euregional education, the cross-border deployment of emergency services, border information points and border controls. Christian Wiermer, government spokesman for the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen and State Secretary for European and International Affairs, was also present.
For the Euregios, the annual meeting is a good opportunity to draw attention to cross-border issues, which is greatly appreciated.
